Saving Money With a Ghostwriter is Possible
Working with a ghostwriter can be exhilarating-and expensive, but never as expensive as losing your story because you did not write it. Here are some components that will go a long way in saving money with a ghostwriter.

Because each project is unique, the fact is it’s largely impossible to predict costs.
The preparation work you have already done—planned the book, assembled the photographs and support documents, written some text or even a rough draft—will be the single most important factor in keeping costs down.
Making Yourself Available
The project will move along more quickly if you are easily and often available for telephone meetings and for reviewing chapters as soon as they are written. The time you are willing to make available to the ghost will move the project along and help with saving money with a ghostwriter. The more your co-author has to guess and improvise your story the more you will spend—especially if you want extensive revisions later.
Project Size Matters
Size will greatly determine the costs. You may have a small commemorative project for a family member or business event, or you may have an entire lifetime of experience and achievement to be recorded and explained. A project that is twice as long is likely to cost more than twice since writing a longer piece requires more attention to pacing and shaping the manuscript. Writing a focused, concise memoir can help with saving money working with a ghostwriter.
Have a Deadline?
The immediacy or distance of the deadline. You may have a deadline to meet and so will require the ghostwriter to alter his/her schedule to accommodate you. That will cost. You may not be at all concerned about an end date and a ghost may therefore give you a price break in exchange for the leeway. Interested in saving money working with a ghostwriter?
